March Monday

March Monday, originally uploaded by amyalexis.

Monday is my special day with my boys. As I slowly ramp up my hours at work, this time is precious to me. I also pack in a lot in that one day. Visit with my mommy friends, exercise and outings with the boys. We could not have asked for better weather and the beach beckoned. I donned my new suit (+ board shorts) and slathered on the sunscreen. Yes, Levi ingested a lot of sand and I figure it will help scrub out his insides.

daddy!

I spent Saturday night standing out in the cold rain, supporting runners descending from the ridge-top white-out during the Coyote Two Moon 100M/K. Amy and the boys spent the weekend with a bunch of our friends at family camp in Simi Valley. Here is Micah running towards me as I arrived to pick them up.

It's official-- longer out than in.

and the winner for best kids-meal presentation is...

This was at Le Grande Orange cafe in Pasadena, where we stopped on our way to Lake Arrowhead this weekend. I had a conference there and back in January it seemed like a good opportunity to take the kids up to the snow. Unfortunately, there wasn't much snow there in advance, it rained like mad during the first day, and turned to snow only in the evening, just after an exasperated and over-taxed Amy took the kids back home.

in case Grandpa was getting bored

Amy took this shot. The corruption is nearly complete...

back in January

We visited the Channel Islands with Josh, Lisa, and Joey
That's Santa Cruz Island, with Anacapa in the background.
We took a nice little walk and saw lots and lots and lots of dolphins, plus some whales
