get up, stand up
get up, stand up, originally uploaded by amyalexis.
At 8 weeks Levi likes to stretch his legs. Still a bit wobbly though.

Grandma & Grandpa G
Today is Grandma and Grandpa G's last day of their visit en route home from the wilds of Alaska. We are sad to see them go, but alas, go they must.
Three peas in a pod:
I expect next visit Levi will fill up more of Grandpa's grip:
Grandma would relieve Zack or I every morning at about 6 and take Levi for a walk down to the water--there are some perks to Chris's early starts and the helping hands will be sorely missed!

1 month old chunk + camping in British Columbia
Levi was one month old yesterday--and at his peds appointment on Monday he weighed in at 10 lbs 12 oz...well over 2 lbs more than his birthday. Levi got the best one-month old birthday present ever...the return of his big brother and daddy the night before. Looks like the boys had a great trip to Tofino in British Columbia to attend Antony's wedding and camp along the rugged west coast of Vancouver Island.
Some highlights as shared by Micah include:
The flashlight that you wear on your head (his head lamp when camping),
roasting marsh-leddows, "they're gooey in the middle and black on the outside" (clearly Micah does not hail from the 'golden brown' camp of marshmallow roasting--though what 3 year old would?),
the PEZ dispenser that was bequeathed to him by our candy-loving friend Rachel within 5 minutes of seeing him, and the movie with the scary polar bear with spikes on his neck and the yellow furred monkey (my guess is The Golden Compass) that he got to watch with his friends while the grown-ups at dinner at the wedding.
There was also other beach time merriment like hoola hooping:
And sand castle building:
Levi and I were sorry to have missed it, but we enjoyed relaxing at home with Grandma and Grandpa G (though the nights were a bit rough).
